Creating Conker Raspberry Gin.
Why the long wait?
Ten years after the first sip of Conker Dorset Dry Gin, we finally ventured into fruit gin. So… what took us so long?
The truth? Fruit gin never really got us excited. That is, until we made one ourselves.
We’d fallen into the trap of thinking it could never be good enough. The industry norm had dulled our appetite — flavourings, colourings, sugar bombs disguised as gin. A raspberry in name only.
But it turns out, when you use enough real fruit, it changes everything.
Always from fruit.
This isn’t a flavoured gin. It’s a fruit gin — proper stuff. Think Grandma’s sloe gin, only made with the finest British raspberries.
Conker Raspberry Gin is made by steeping whole British raspberries in our Dorset Dry Gin. No shortcuts. The raspberries come from a single farm in Herefordshire, frozen at harvest to lock in their peak flavour. That gives us year-round quality — always ripe, always real.
Do what you say you do.
Being small and independent is our superpower. It lets us stick to our founding principle: Genuine Craft — doing what we say we do.
That means we can choose the harder, more expensive path: real fruit over artificial flavourings. It’s the road less taken — and for good reason. Hundreds of kilos of fresh fruit aren’t easy or cheap. But when you’re not answering to a committee or chasing margins, you get to follow flavour and integrity instead.
If it can be better, we believe it should be.
What it tastes like.
Here’s the surprise: a raspberry isn’t actually that sweet. It’s tart. Fresh. Green. Even a little woody.
It’s the raspberry you remember from ‘pick your own’, or nicking a few from the garden — vibrant, vegetal, alive.
Conker Raspberry Gin captures all of that. None of it is faked. Because nothing compares to the real thing.
Show your true colours.
That rich, deep rose hue? All from raspberries. No colourings. No flavourings. Just fruit.
And even when it’s stretched long with tonic or cloudy lemonade, it keeps its punch. In fact, a long mixer amplifies the flavour — the dilution and sweetness help the natural raspberry shine even brighter.
A proper G&T gin. Not a Liqueur.
Here’s what surprised us most: this isn’t a pudding. This is a gin.
Full-strength at 40% ABV and crafted with G&T drinkers in mind, it keeps the crisp, dry character of Dorset Dry — the juniper bite, herbaceous spice, and long citrus finish — only now with the added dimension of real raspberry.
There’s sweetness, yes. But it’s still dry, still refreshing. It’s the fruit gin we didn’t think was possible — until we made it ourselves.
