At Conker, we make spirits the right way — not just for incredible flavour, but for a sustainable future.
From day one, we’ve believed that great drinks shouldn’t come at the cost of the planet or the people who make them. Sustainability isn’t a side project for us. It’s core to our craft.
This isn’t about ticking boxes or chasing buzzwords. It’s about doing what’s right. Being honest about our impact and putting in the work to do better every day.
Planet Positive by 2030.
Our goal is clear: become a Net Planet Positive distillery by 2030.
That means our work doesn’t just do less harm — it actively gives more back.
From sourcing and energy use to packaging and partnerships, we’re challenging ourselves to raise the bar.
Mindful Sourcing.
We believe that quality starts at the source. That’s why we work with smallholder farms in Ethiopia and Brazil to grow Speciality-grade Arabica coffees without pesticides or synthetic fertilisers.
Our coffees grown in harmony with nature — slow, careful, and chemical-free.
We also support UK farming wherever possible, from the British wheat spirit and the New Forest Spring Water we use to distil our sprits.
Local ingredients mean fewer miles, less carbon, and more resilience for our agricultural communities.
Let Nature do its Thing.
Regenerative agriculture matters. The biodiversity of a coffee farm affects more than flavour — it restores soil, supports wildlife, and brings health to the whole ecosystem.
We work with partners who understand that farming should work with nature, not against it.
Powering our Spirits with Purpose.
We run on 100% renewable energy, and we’re constantly looking for ways to reduce energy use across our Craft Distillery.
Water is just as precious. Our systems are designed to reuse and recycle water wherever possible, minimising waste and maximising efficiency.
Rethinking Packaging.
We’re pushing hard to remove single-use plastics and switch to circular systems that keep materials in use and out of landfill.
That means:
- Fully plastic-free consumer packaging
- Refill systems and 10-litre Bag-in-Box solutions for on-trade
- A shift away from traditional glass bottles to lower-impact alternatives
It Starts with People.
Sustainability isn’t just about looking after the natural environment — it’s about social and economic progress that builds a better life for people.
That means supporting our team beyond paycheques and investing in our community through local causes and fundraising.
It also means working with ingredient and packaging suppliers who treat people fairly, and are actively involved in building sustainable futures for their communities.
No Greenwashing. Just real Progress.
We’re working toward B Corp certification because we want our values baked into every part of the business — and we want to be held accountable for them.
This isn’t about looking perfect or getting it right first time. It’s about showing up, owning our impact, and pushing forward.
