In April 2014, I nervously told my boss, “Thanks for everything, but I’m handing in my notice to set up Dorset’s first gin distillery.” Here's how we did it.

Every Friday and Saturday evening, we throw open our distillery doors to welcome everyone in for great food, proper drinks, and good company — right in the beating heart of our working distillery.

Its 2013. I’m 28 years old. I'd decided to pack in my career to build a business I could pour my heart into. But doing what exactly?! You’re led to believe that ‘Eureka!’ moment will fall into your lap.  But the creative freedom you need for such divine inspiration is more buried than you might think. As kids we throw everything at what gets us excited, without a second thought to failure. How do we lose this freedom as adults? Or more importantly – how do we get it back!
